When I first started at the CCK, I was introduced to the world of stock photography. Some of it is terrible and cliche, but there are also some great photos out there. Here’s my favourite picks for stock pics.

Top pick: Unsplash

About: Over 300,000 free (do whatever you want) high-resolution photos brought to you by the world’s most generous community of photographers.

Why? I love Unsplash for artistic, non-cliche photos.

Note: Unsplash would rather show you photos that don’t match your search criteria than show you nothing at all.

Close second: Pexels

AboutPexels provides high quality and completely free stock photos licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. All photos are nicely tagged, searchable and also easy to discover through our discover pages.

Why? If you’re looking for something highly specific, it’s probably here.

Note: Pexels is more likely to show you cliche, unnatural stock photos.
